The feature film "A Mãe", directed by Cristiano Burlan and scripted by the director in partnership with Ana Carolina Marinho, finished filming in February.

Starring Marcélia Cartaxo, the film follows Maria who had her son murdered by military police during a police raid. Maria begins her journey in search of her son's body and the right to bury him.

The film is still being finalized and is expected to open in 2021.
